Directional drilling
UCS offers the installation of conduit via horizontal directional drilling (HDD).
Directional boring is an efficient way to install underground conduits using a trenchless method and eliminating the mess. Flexible steel rods are drilled into the ground from one access pit to another, approximately 600 feet distance using a horizontal directional drill. HDD can be used to go under driveways, foundation, and ponds or streams, around trees and other infrastructure.
Benefits to directional drilling:
Less mess
Avoid disruptions
Possibility of drilling around/under impediments
Less restorations needed
