Directional drilling
Directional boring is an efficient way to install underground conduits using a trenchless method to avoid the mess. Flexible steel rods are drilled into the ground from one access pit to another, approximately 600 feet distance using a horizontal directional drill. HDD can be used to go under driveways, foundation, and ponds or streams, around trees and other infrastructure.
Open trenching
UCS offers the installation of conduit via open trench.
Open trench conduit installation is another way to install underground conduits when directional drilling is not an option due to ground conditions or to meet customer needs.
Hydro-vac services
Hydro-vac excavation is the use of high pressured water and a vacuum to remove soil.
Cable pulling
Cables are pulled through conduits using a cable trailer once all conduits are successfully installed.
Safety precautions are taken when cable is being pulled and strict guidelines are followed to ensure cable is installed correctly to manufacturer specifications.
Cable plowing
Stone-slinging
Cable plowing is an alternate to trenching and boring that utilizes a plow system to excavate and bury cable. The process of cable plowing uses a vibrating blade to split the ground.
Stone-slinging is used to sling, spread or backfill with A-gravel, sand, top soil or clear stone.
